Now that you have an Always Pack list you are able to set up defaults to create Service Style Associations.
This is a function where you tell the system to remove certain things based on the event’s assigned service style.
Example: You have Ties for your Servers/Bartenders on your Always Pack List.
If you have an order that is assigned the Service Style of Delivery or Pick-Up then you are probably not going to include a tie in the pack list since there would be no staff to wear it.
Taking the time to set up these exceptions will save you hours of work in the future.
Go to Inventory > Pack List Service Style Associations and change the first field to Always Pack Items to load your default Always Pack list you created in the last step.
In this example we have 7 items that are set to Always Pack on events.
Setting up Service Styles
Once you have loaded your Always Pack list, you will choose a Service Style to set up exceptions for the assigned style.
Let’s use our example from above and set it up to include Neck Ties when Buffet is assigned as the Service Style, but not when Delivery is assigned.
First, click the drop down to choose a style to edit.
The Service Style field will default to your first Service Style alphabetically.
We will choose Buffet and we can see that Tie, Neck is set to pack when that Service Style is assigned.
Change the Service Style to Delivery and any items from the Always Pack list that are unchecked will not pack when that Service Style is assigned to the event.
In the image above, the only things that will pack are Ties, Server and Business Card.
To change what is packed for any specific Service Style you would choose the desired Service Style from the drop down and check items to include and uncheck those that should not be included.
Service Style Associations Conclusion
Setting these Associations up will save you hours of time and ensure that items that need to be packed for events are not forgotten.
This will also save you from creating extra work by sending too many items to each event.
