Bulk Update: Menu Items – Item Details
Needing to update your Menu Items? Whether you have a small amount of Menu Items or years of data, the Bulk Update Item Details feature is what you need!
**This is a Delicacy Subscription only feature**
Locate the Bulk Update Item Details feature by going to Menu Items in the toolbar
You will want to start with the search field at the top of the page by choosing your parameters to pull the menu items you want/need to update.
In this example, we need to pull the data of all of the active Menu Items in the Appetizer category in order to update the item’s details.
When we select Search, it will pull the full list of Menu Items within this category that are active in the account:
From this page, I can manually update the Menu Item name, Category, Status, and Station by clicking into those columns and changing the amounts.
Once the changes are made, click “Save“.
Bulk Updating
Once you have your group of menu items narrowed down that you want to update, you can update them a page at a time by using the parameters below:
Parameters:
“Apply defined ‘Category’ changes to items below” – This allows you to set the Category that you want your items filtered into. This is a create option for Menu Item cleanup and if you’re wanting to condense categories or remove menu items out of a category in order to delete it.
“Apply defined ‘Status’ changes to items below” – This allows you to set the status of “Active” or “Discontinued” for your menu items. We suggest marking menu items as discontinued if you are no longer actively using the items, this way they cannot be added to any future events.
“Apply defined ‘Station(s)’ changes to items below” – This allows you to set the stations assigned to the menu item. You can select one or multiple stations to apply to your menu items.
Once you make your changes, be sure to hit “Apply” and then “Save” before navigating to the next page.
